VTREC PAYS VIRTUAL COURTESY CALL ON NEWLY APPOINTED DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF JABATAN PENGANGKUTAN JALAN MALAYSIA

Director- General of Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia, YBhg Datuk Zailani Bin Hj Hashim receives virtual courtesy call from Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia Co-ordinator, Puan Mas Tina Binti Abdul Hamid

 KUALA LUMPUR, 09 February 2020: Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) Co-ordinator, Puan Mas Tina Binti Abdul Hamid and the management officers paid a virtual courtesy call on newly appointed Director-General of Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), YBhg. Datuk Zailani Bin Hj. Hashim today.

JPJ has recently welcomed its new Director-General, YBhg. Datuk Zailani Bin Hj. Hashim on board. The courtesy call was also attended by Executive Officers of VTREC, Puan Afif Aliyana Binti Abu Fitri and Encik Muhammad Alif Bin Mohd Adnan and JPJ Senior Officers, Encik Khairul Anwar Bin Bachok, Director, Enforcement Division and Encik Azhar Bin Mohamad Yusof Director, Licensing Division.

The Co-ordinator of VTREC, Puan Mas Tina took stock of the JPJ-VTREC relations.  Both sides welcomed the high degree of engagement and collaboration in regard to curtailing vehicle theft in Malaysia. During the virtual courtesy call Puan Mas Tina briefed on VTREC’s roles, its initiatives and milestones in stimulating the reduction of vehicle theft. The Director-General, YBhg Datuk Zailani took the occasion to thank VTREC for its initiatives and co-operations with JPJ in reducing national rate of vehicle theft.  Puan Mas Tina likewise expressed appreciation to JPJ for JPJ’s initiatives and positive collaboration with VTREC.  Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further boosting overall co-operation especially in addressing issues which are related to vehicle theft and that leads to road traffic accidents.

During the call, both parties also exchanged views on initiatives and potential collaboration to reduce vehicle theft and to increase public well-being.  The Director-General of JPJ expressed his enthusiasm to work closely with VTREC inthe future, he described the meeting as a great milestone in forging a much closer relationship between the two organisations.  Puan Mas Tina took the opportunity to wish YBhg. Datuk Zailani a productive time ahead.
