YDH CP Dato’ Pahlawan Mazlan bin Mansor receiving the plague of appreciation from Encik Mohd Yusof bin Idris, VTREC Co-ordinator/Consultant
SHAH ALAM: The Co-ordinator/Consultant of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC), Encik Mohd Yusof bin Idris paid a courtesy call on YDH CP Dato’ Pahlawan Mazlan bin Mansor, who was appointed as the new Selangor Chief Police Officer at his office, Ibu Pejabat Polis Negeri Selangor at Shah Alam on 27th April 2018. Also attended were Encik Azlan Mohammad Azlan Noor bin Che Mat, Director of VTREC and Puan Mas Tina binti Abdul Hamid.
In their meeting which lasted about 45 minutes, YDH CP Dato’ Pahlawan Mazlan enlighten the recent breakthrough in police investigation on vehicle theft syndicates in cheating insurance companies involving a RM2.9 million loss since 2016 after police arrested 10 men in Ops Lejam PIAM 2018 and the smuggling of commercial vehicle parts syndicates reaching millions of ringgit known as ‘Botak Siva’. He further shared his views on improving and strengthening the co-operation between VTREC and Selangor police in reducing vehicle theft. YDH CP Dato’ Pahlawan Mazlan Mansor emphasised the importance in engaging all stakeholders in combating vehicle theft. The discussion was also touched on insurance fraud claims syndicate involving a RM2.9 million loss since 2016 after police arrested 10 men in Ops Lejam PIAM 2018.
At the end of the occasion, Encik Mohd Yusof bin Idris presented a plague of appreciation to YDH CP Dato’ Pahlawan Mazlan Mansor.
